SNAC PhD at risk scholarships

SNAC has awarded three PhD at risk scholarships to the following candidates:

Hajja Abd Alrahim Elyas, PhD candidate at the department of History, University of Khartoum. She is writing her PhD on 19^th century Khartoum through the study of by Ottoman documents

Asma Ibrahim Hamad Mohamed, PhD candidate at the department of Sociology and  Social Anthropology, University of Khartoum. She is writing her PhD using ethnography on landownership and spatial separation in  the Gezira Agricultural Scheme.

Shereen Ibrahim Alnour, PhD candidate at the department of History, University of Khartoum, on the feminist movement during the colonial and post-colonial Sudan 1924 – 1969
